At Ferris Orthodontic Group, the health and safety of our patients, their families, and our team are at the heart of everything we do. As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) makes a greater impact across our community and country, we want to share the immediate steps we have taken and are continuing to take to help keep you and your families as well as our team safe and healthy.
We are still open for seeing patients on a limited basis. For current patients, we are only seeing our emergent cases. All others have been rescheduled until after the “Shelter in Place” Mandate is lifted. When seen in the office, you can rest assured that there will be a very limited number of people present and social distancing will be strictly adhered to. For New Prospective Patients, we can still see you! We have 2 ways of doing virtual consults. You can either set up a face-to-face Zoom consult with Dr. Ferris (Call our office to schedule!) or do a virtual consult via our website! It’s actually fun! You’ll take a series of selfies and enter some information, which will then be evaluated by Dr. Ferris.
We want to assure you that at Ferris Orthodontic Group we follow the latest infection prevention guidelines and strictly adhere to these protocols. We have the newest and top-of-the line sterilization equipment to ensure sterility of our instruments. We strictly follow OSHA Universal and Standard Precautions regardless of suspected or confirmed infection status of our patients. Such protocols include but are not limited to hand hygiene before and after seeing each patient, use of personal protective equipment such as single-use gloves and masks, respiratory hygiene/cough etiquette, and clean and disinfected environmental surfaces throughout our office. We also have a cleaning crew that cleans and disinfects the office each night. Additionally, since the Coronavirus outbreak, we have increased their frequency and sanitization efforts of the office’s surfaces.
As always, Ferris Orthodontic Group can best serve our community by treating patients who are not currently experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms. Waiting to treat non-emergency orthodontic work until you and your family members are feeling better protects our patients and staff from further spreading illness. If you are currently experiencing any symptoms, we will be happy to work with you on rescheduling your appointment at a time when you or your family members are feeling well again.
In these uncertain times, one thing that remains unwavering is our commitment to providing excellent patient-centered care and unparalleled orthodontics in a fun, upbeat, safe environment. We are dedicated to creating exceptional lives through remarkable smiles and thank you for trusting us with your care.
With love, health, and gratitude,
Dr. Drew Ferris and the Ferris Orthodontic Group Team
